The Bodum Antigua Electric Grinder utilizes a sharpened cast-iron conical burr to produce just the right grind for your own personal taste.
It has 16 different grind settings, each delivering a specific degree of grinding--from coarse (for French Press coffee makers) to fine (for espresso machines) and anywhere in between (percolators to auto-drip machines).
The two-step grinding gear operates at a low speed to prevent overheating of the coffee beans, which can alter flavor. The low-speed operation is also relatively quiet. A simple twist of the bean hopper lets you choose your setting. A separate dial timer activates the motor and also acts as a quantity control, delivering anywhere from 2 tablespoons of ground coffee beans for a single cup of coffee, to 12 tablespoons for a full pot.
The Bodum Antigua Electric Grinder has a removable transparent grounds container that makes transferring the grounds to a coffee filter quick and easy. The container is designed to reduce static so the grounds pour out easily instead of clinging to the sides. The bean hopper holds up to 250 grams (more than 3 cups) of coffee beans and has a lid to help retain aroma and freshness. Both the hopper and the grounds container remove for easy cleaning.
